Damian R. Jimenez, DMD
Dr. Damian R. Jimenez is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a distinguished career in both clinical practice and research. Born and raised in South Carolina, Dr. Jimenez began his academic journey at the University of South Carolina, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a cognate in Chemistry in 2002. He continued his education at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, earning his DMD in 2009.
Following dental school, Dr. Jimenez pursued advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his residency in June 2013, gaining extensive experience through rotations at Emory University Hospital and other affiliated institutions. Dr. Jimenez’s professional career has been marked by a commitment to excellence and service across various esteemed practices.
Dr. Jimenez has actively contributed to the field through both research and education. Notably, he has conducted significant research on dental implant success rates and bioresorbable materials, with findings published in prominent journals. His contributions to the academic literature include a chapter on oral anticoagulation therapy in the “Clinical Review of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.”
An active member of several professional societies, Dr. Jimenez is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the Academy of Osseointegration and the Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He achieved board certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2017.
